Geber’s research began over 20 years ago, when one of the three chemist researchers started reflecting on the outdated and uninnovative state of the rubber and plastics industry. It was evident that, beyond generating an excessive amount of waste, the sector lacked sustainable and advanced solutions. After years of research, setbacks, and closed doors, the three chemists decided to join forces to develop cutting-edge research and technology capable of becoming a leader in an industry thirsty for innovation and sustainability.

The turning point came with a breakthrough success: the discovery of fully reversible vulcanization of rubber and EVA. This achievement revolutionized the way the industry approached elastomeric materials, opening the door to new possibilities for recycling and reuse, and positioning Geber as a pioneer in the polymer industry with its three flagship projects: VIRI-V, VIRI-E, and VIRI-T.

In addition, Geber successfully completed the CORI project, focused on the development of a natural polymer capable of incorporating large amounts of regenerated micronized genuine leather. This led to the creation of an environmentally sustainable and fully regenerable material, offering an eco-friendly and innovative solution in the synthetic leather sector.

In the sports sector, Geber has planned its entry through the world of cycling, developing innovative cycling shoes made with patented materials. These shoes will not only use eco-sustainable materials, but will also include mechanical components and sensors to allow both automatic and manual adjustment of the cleats based on road conditions. This innovation promises to revolutionize athletic performance and comfort, ensuring a more efficient and comfortable ride.

In the healthcare sector, Geber has launched an equally ambitious project: the creation of orthopedic insoles made with its proprietary materials. These insoles will not only offer ergonomic support and comfort, but will also integrate sensors and mechanical components to allow continuous and personalized adjustments, adapting to the specific needs of each patient and ensuring proper and comfortable posture.

Finally, Geber is committed to promoting the use of biopolymers derived from renewable organic raw materials. The team’s environmental awareness translates into a strong commitment to researching materials that combine aesthetics and functionality without compromising the planet. This project reflects Geber’s global approach to sustainable innovation, demonstrating its dedication to creating solutions that have a positive impact on both society and the environment.
